2024 NFL Fantasy Season Picks & Drops

Week 1
The NFL Season is finally back, which means that NFL Fantasy is also back. It’s time to make some upgrades and decisions for your team, and I will help you with that. That said, my first Fantasy underdog pick for your team for the 2024 NFL Season is Isaiah Pacheco. After going off in the final stretch of last season, Pacheco is expected to start on week 1 against the Ravens, whose run defense isn’t very strong, especially after losing their star linebacker Patrick Queen in the offseason. I think Pacheco will do well against the Ravens behind his offensive line, which happens to be one of the best in the NFL, against an average run defense. Pacheco is a definitive start if he is on your team, and if he isn’t, you should try trading for him.
Next, I think another player you should start if you have him on your team or trade for him if you don’t is Rhamondre Stevenson. The Patriots running back didn’t have a great Fantasy season last year, but I expect him to go off on Sunday against the Bengals, who will play with what I think is a bottom-10 defense in the league and a bottom-5 run defense. With Jacoby Brissett having his debut with the Patriots, I don’t expect them to pass much, which is why I think Stevenson will have a great game.
Zay Flowers will disappoint you and your team this week. The Ravens’ receiver, who finished off last season on a great note, will not perform like that on Thursday against the Chiefs. With Derrick Henry debuting and a new and improved wide receiver room, I expect Lamar Jackson to use all his weapons against the Chiefs, rather than just targeting his WR1 all game. And although I do think that he will have a great Fantasy season, he won’t do much in the season opener. I recommend you to bench him this week.

Week 2
And just like that, the first week of the season is over, so now I bring you my week 2 NFL Fantasy predictions. My first pick of the week is Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. After a decent game against Dallas, the ex-Broncos wideout faces the Jaguars, where I think he will ball out. Jeudy is notorious among teams that have below-average secondaries since his speed and catching ability combine to create a recipe for disaster for inexperienced cornerbacks. Despite only debuting last week with the Browns, he seems to already be comfortable in that offense and we will probably see Deshaun Watson throwing to him a lot against a very bad secondary. Jeudy is available as a free agent in many leagues, however, if that is not your case, you should try trading for him at a low price, and it will definitely pay off.
For my 2nd pick this week, I advise you to start the Eagles’ defense. Despite having a bad Fantasy performance last week, they will be playing against Kirk Cousins, who is still getting used to his new offense. The Eagles will probably shut down the Falcons and the defense will play a big role in this. If it is available, I highly recommend you to pick this defense up.
If you plan on starting CeeDee Lamb this week, I recommend you not to do this. Lamb plays against a New Orleans defense that looked like the ’85 Bears last week, and despite them playing like that against the Panthers, I do think that they will play like this again against the Cowboys. And despite CeeDee having a decent game last week, I think he will underperform and fold against this defense which is why I think you should sit him.

Week 3
After what was in my opinion a chaotic week in the NFL and in fantasy, I have some takes for what to expect for next week in NFL Fantasy. First off, a player who I am very excited to see play is the Baltimore Ravens’ Justice Hill. He is a promising running-back who I think promises a lot for this season despite what some analysts say. Hill had a massive game against the Chiefs in week 1 where he was used mostly as a screen play receiver. Despite only having 1 rush for 3 yards, he also had a total of 6 receptions for 52 receiving yards, which for a backup running-back is not bad at all. Hill showed composure and strength in the final minutes of the game where the Ravens looked to get the win in the final minutes of the game, which they did, but it got called off due to Isaiah Likely’s foot being just barely out of bounds. In week 2, he had a pretty deceiving game against the Raiders, only rushing for 22 yards and having a total of 10 receiving yards of off 2 receptions. Let’s not forget that Hill is the backup running-back for Derrick Henry, who gets most of the rushing touches for the Ravens, but I think he can be big for the Ravens late in the season and a trustable backup running-back which you should consider picking up.
For my second take of this week, I think that there is a fantasy deception in Denver. His name is Courtland Sutton. Despite him having been a consistent wide receiver for the Broncos these past few years, I think this season will not be very great for him because of the new offensive situation in Denver. He was taken somewhat high up in a lot of leagues because of his consistent performances last season, but I think this season will be different. After not having a great first two weeks against Seattle and Pittsburgh respectively, I do think his performances will remain the same. Sutton is usually a trusty second wide receiver, flex, or even someone you can have in your bench and rely on him when it is needed. But not this season. With Bo Nix being the starting quarterback in his first NFL season, along with some other changes in the Denver offense, I do not think this year will be pretty for Sutton and I think you should drop him.
After last night’s performance against the Patriots, another plyer you should consider picking up is Jets rookie Braelon Allen. Although he is the RB2 for the Jets behind Breece Hall, Allen has been remarkable these past 3 weeks for the Jets, even picking up 2 touchdowns against the Titans in Week 2. Allen was drafted 134th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft from the Wisconsin Badgers. To me, this pick was an absolute steal from the Jets, considering Allen summed up over 3,600 yards and 35 TDs in his college career with Wisconsin. This past college season, Allen rushed for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns, which is basically nothing compared to his past seasons. Allen is a strong and big running-back, coming in at 6’1 and 236 pounds, you don’t really want to tackle him. Allen has been massive during his entire football career, and we should expect more of the same he did in Wisconsin this year with the Jets. I think Braelon Allen is a fantastic waiver wire pick up you should get for your team.
If you were looking for a QB for your Fantasy team, do NOT get Anthony Richardson. Richardson is just starting off his 2nd year in the NFL, and although I don’t think he is a bad player and I do think that eventually (maybe in a couple years) he will be great quarterback for the Colts, I just don’t think now is the moment for him and I do think this year won’t be a very good year for him. Richardson is going into week 3 off a loss against the Green Bay Packers, which meant that they were now 0-2. Richardson has been disappointing these first few weeks and I think we should expect to see more of the same from him for these next couple of weeks. I think you should drop him because of a couple reasons. First, despite him having a decent receiving core, his offensive line just does not help him. Richardson has been constantly struggling in the pocket and not being able to use his arm as he should. And I know what you’re thinking, “oh but he’s a dual threat, he can run, he should be fine”, but it’s just not like that. The Colts’ offense has been getting run over by defenses since the preseason and things will not change in the near future, so that’s why I think you should leave Anthony Richardson out of your Fantasy team for this season, or at least until the Colts start to do well and fix some of their issues.

Week 4
This past week, the Panthers got their first win against the Raiders in a game where Carolina running back Chuba Hubbard did not disappoint. Hubbard picked up 32 fantasy points, mostly wasted since he is either a free agent or on somebody’s bench in most leagues. Hubbard had a total of 21 rushing attempts and five receptions, which led to a total of 169 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.
After his game against the Colts, I think that we can be safe to say that Rome Odunze will most likely be a top 3 rookie receiver and that he will continue to put up insane performances, but the best part about it is that in most leagues, Odunze is a free agent. After his first two weeks, Odunze was not considered a true weapon in the Bears’ offense and was dropped in many leagues, but after his 26-point 112 receiving yard performance against the Colts, we can start to tell how he matures alongside this Bears’ offense. I think he is someone you should get for your team if he is available, or even trade for him at a low cost.
Don’t fall for the Kyle Pitts craze. He is a mediocre tight-end at best, and although the Falcons’ offense has been balling this season, Pitts hasn’t been a big target for Kirk Cousins. It seems Cousins kept the same habit he developed in Minnesota: not targeting his tight-ends. If you are considering starting him in week 4, you should know that Pitts has never had more than three receptions against the Saints, and that streak probably won’t end this year because of how well the Saints are playing this season. He won’t make more than 9 points this week. And despite the current situation with underperforming tight-ends in the NFL this season, I think Pitts should be dropped from your team and you should pick someone up from the waiver wire or trade for another TE.

Week 5
If you want a running back in week 5, get Josh Jacobs. Jacobs has proven to be a reliable RB in Green Bay, and you should look to trade for him or pick him up from the waiver wire if he is available. With Jordan Love returning from injury, I don’t think Matt LaFleur will want to risk his QB again, which is why I think he will be using the running game a lot against the Rams. Jacobs will also come in handy throughout the season as the packers will start to use their running game more and more, and that is why I think Josh Jacobs is a great pick for your team.
Packers’ WR2 Dontavyion Wicks is set to have a massive game this week and you should pick him up. After his performance last week against the Vikings, I expect to see more of the same against the Rams defense, which has been awful against the passing game this year. I expect Wicks to go off this week alongside Jayden Reed and I think that he is a definite start for your fantasy team this week.

Week 6
If you are looking for a WR in week 6 who you can get as a Free Agents, go to Xavier Hutchinson. Now I know you probably have never even heard of him, but with Nico Collins on IR and Robert Woods being questionable this week, the Texans will most likely use Hutchinson as a WR3. And considering that he is playing the Patriots this week, we should expect for him to have at least some catches. Hutchinson is a good pick for your team in case you are in desperate need of a WR.

Week 7
As we start a new week, it’s time for more Fantasy predictions. For this week, my pick for your team is Tee Higgins. Despite the Bengals wideout probably not being available in your league, you should definitely trade for him, and if you do have him, you should start him this week. Higgins plays the Browns, who have given up a lot of yards against elite receivers, and I'm sure that Higgins will join that list this week. He has had immense games recently while being a WR2, and I'm sure he will do it again this week against the Browns. Higgins has a history of having big games against the Browns in the past, so to me, he is a definitive start for your team.
For my second recommendation of the week, I recommend everyone who has Aaron Jones on their team to sit him. Jones is coming off of a bye week, and he had a bad game before that against the Jets. The Vikings play the Lions this weekend, and I don’t expect the ex-Packers running back to have a lot of touches on the ball. However, you should definitely keep him as I do think he will have big games later on, but not this week.
And finally, this week, I advise you to sit Stefon Diggs. Diggs finally faces a competent secondary and he will be exposed against Green Bay. He will not perform as expected and will not have many points. The Packers’ secondary has been insane this season, and they will show it again against the Texans. This means that not only will C.J. Stroud have difficulties passing the ball, but the receivers will find it tough to catch the ball. The Texans will have to move through the ground and that is why you should sit Stefon Diggs this week.

Week 8
As we start a new week in the NFL, here are some of my tips for your team. For my first pick, I advise you to start rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey. McConkey has quietly been having a great rookie season, and he will play the Saints this week, which the Chargers will surely blow away. McConkey has slowly been turning into Justin Herbert’s favorite target, and I'm sure he will be targeted a lot against the weak Saints secondary. What is even better is that he is a free agent in a lot of leagues, so if that is your case, I would highly recommend that you pick him up, or if he is not available, you should definitely trade for him.
For my next pick, I would highly recommend you trade for Bucs QB Baker Mayfield. Baker has been incredibly consistent this season, and he will surely remain in this form. This week, the Bucs play the Falcons, and I expect him to go off again and have a great fantasy performance. Baker is also available in a lot of leagues, and if that is your case, you should take him for your team and even consider making him QB1. Baker will surely continue his red-hot form throughout the season, and he could even lead you to the playoffs with the types of performances he is having.
Finally, do not start Davante Adams. If possible, trade him away. After his awful performance last week, I don’t think we will be seeing that old Rodgers-Adams connection again, and he will be underwhelming during the rest of the season. The Jets play the Patriots, and despite them having a weak defense, I still think they will hold Davante Adams to practically no yards, as well as the fact that Aaron Rodgers will probably be targeting Garett Wilson a lot more. Adams is highly recruited in many leagues, but he shouldn’t be. He will continue to be inconsistent for at least the next couple of weeks until he gets used to his offense. To me, he is a definite sit this week and you should look to trade him away for good value.

Week 9
For my first prediction this week, I will be going with Zay Flowers as a definitive start. Flowers has been consistent all season, and although he will probably be matched up against Patrick Surtain, I think the Ravens offense will overpower this defense, and Flowers will be a big part of it. Although he is not available in most leagues, you can definitely get him in a reasonable trade, and he will be a great addition to your team, especially this week.
For my next pick, I'm going to go to the rookie Bucky Irving from the Bucs. He’s been consistent all season and is proving to be one of the best rookies in the league. I think he gets a decent game against the Chiefs, and he is someone who you should consider trading for. Irving is proving to be an elite running back, and he will surely overpower the Chiefs’ box defenders as he has done all season long.
Finally, I strongly advise you to bench DeAndre Hopkins. The Chiefs’ brand-new wide receiver had a disappointing debut last week against the Raiders, and I expect him to have another below-average game against the Buccaneers. Hopkins has proven to be inconsistent this season and I believe that he will continue to disappoint. To me, he is a definitive sit this week.

Week 10
With a new week comes new picks. And this week, we recommend you to start Bengals running back Chase Brown. Brown has proven to be consistent throughout the last couple of weeks, and he will surely go off against the Ravens this week. Brown has mostly flourished against teams with a bad run defense, and Baltimore is one of them. In week 6, despite only having 46 rushing yards, he had a total of 18 Fantasy points, and since he’s been getting better throughout the season. It is also important to note that his running-back companion Zack Moss got injured before last week’s game against the Raiders, where Brown dropped 30 Fantasy points. To me, he is. Definitive start this week for your Fantasy team.
If you own Tyreek Hill, this week is not the one to start him. The Dolphins’ WR1 has been inconsistent and not living up to his hype. This week the Dolphins face the Rams, who have one of the best secondaries in the league, and I expect him to be fully locked up. But the secondary is not the only problem. Tua Tagovailoa will certainly have issues against the Rams D-Line, especially considering he sits behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. With this being said, I think the Dolphins will have a lot of problems offensively this week, and that is why you should sit Tyreek Hill.
If you are looking for a running back for your team but just can’t seem to find one or get a good trade for someone, head to the Free Agency tab on your Fantasy app and pick up Tyrone Tracy from the New York Giants. Tracy is having a massive rookie season, yet nobody is talking about it. He is available in almost every single league, which doesn’t make sense since he has been dropping insane numbers recently. Tracy plays the Panthers, and while I don’t expect the Giants to win, I do think the rookie will have a big game on Sunday. The Panthers’ defense has been horrendous, and Tyrone Tracy will run all over it. If you have him, do not let him go, and definitely start him. If you don’t, look for a trade or pick him up from Free Agency.

Week 11
A new week equals more picks. And for this week’s first start, I'm going with Michael Pittman. Despite him missing last week due to injury, Pittman has proved to be a consistent Fantasy wide receiver. He plays the Jets this week, and despite them having a great secondary, I still think he will have a decent game, as he has also proved to be one of the most underrated receivers in the league. Pittman could be a good start for your team this week if you don’t know who to start, and he is even available in some leagues through Free Agency, if that is your case, you should definitely pick him up.
If you have Drake London in your starting lineup for this week, you should reconsider starting him. London has been incredible this season, but he does play one of the best defenses in the league. And although I do think he is an elite receiver, I feel like this secondary will overpower him. It’s also important to note that Kirk Cousins will be under pressure almost the whole game, considering Denver has one of the best defensive lines in the league while the Falcons have a mediocre offensive line. I think the Falcons will use their run game much more this week, and that is why you should bench Drake London in week 11.
I cannot believe that there are leagues that have Jonathan Taylor available on Free Agency. JT has proven to be one of the best running backs in the league when he is in form, which he has been almost all season long. Taylor plays the Jets this week, and I expect him to have a massive game. The Jets’ run game is bad, and if you don’t count the three weeks he missed due to injury, he has put up at least 10 points in every game, an average of 19, and he is coming off of a 17-point performance against the Bills. Jonathan Taylor has every right to be in your starting lineup, and if he is in your league’s Free Agency, pick him up immediately.

Week 12
As week 12 rolls around, Fantasy Football players prepare for the playoffs, and for many of us, it is crucial to win this week. And so my first pick to help you win your week 12 matchup is Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the Titans. Despite playing on arguably the worst team in the NFL, NWI has been showing light in a very bad team. This week he plays the Texans, and after his performance last week against the Vikings, I expect him to do even better. I think Westbrook-Ikhine can show that he is one of the best WR2’s in the NFL this week. I say this because he’s been consistent for a couple of weeks now, and he could be great for your fantasy team if you have any of your receivers on a bye week or if any are injured. This is because he is still a free agent or on the waiver wire in most leagues, but he probably won’t be after this week, so make sure to pick him up for your team.
For my second pick, I will be going with Jalen Tolbert from the Dallas Cowboys. Tolbert has had his ups and downs, and while I don’t think he should be starting every week on your team, you should consider taking him this week, especially because he is most likely available in your league as he is in a lot of leagues. Tolbert plays Washington, who have one of the worst secondaries in the league, and I expect him to have a good game because this season WR2’s have been amazing against Washington. Players such as Tee Higgins, Chris Godwin, and Devonta Smith have had good games against this secondary as WR2’s, and I think Tolbert will follow that trend. If you have an open space on your team, you should seriously consider giving it to Jalen Tolbert for this week.
And finally, for this week I recommend you to sit Cooper Kupp. Now before you call me crazy, I know that he is coming off of a 30 Fantasy point game, but I don’t care. Kupp is facing one of the best secondaries in the NFL, and while this is usually no problem for him, I think that the Eagles’ secondary will give him a hard time. Kupp will probably be double-teamed as well, so Matthew Stafford will probably throw to Puka Nacua more often, as he has done for the past couple of weeks. I think that for this week, you should sit out Kupp and wait to put him on your lineup until next week when they play the Saints.

Week 13
As we enter the critical final week of the fantasy football season before the playoffs, finding reliable starters can be the difference between playoff heartbreak and glory. Some names that stand out in Week 13 are Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore and quarterback Caleb Williams, who are poised for a massive outing. Moore has been key to Caleb Williams’ last couple of good games, and along with Keenan Allen, they are going to have a big game this week especially considering that it’s a thanksgiving game. Although I do not think the Bears will win, DJ Moore will have a good game against the Lions. Caleb Williams has had massive games these past two weeks with Moore as his number 1 target. While Moore has racked up 168 yards and 1 touchdown on 14 receptions, Williams has passed for 571 yards and 2 touchdowns. The rookie quarterback seems to finally be getting on track and starting to find his place in the NFL, and while I still think that the Bears are mediocre and that they will not win this game, I think these two will have a great final stretch of the season.
After last week’s incredible performance by the Cowboys against the Commanders in Northwest Stadium, I think it’s safe to say that the Dallas Defense will put up another massive game this week, except instead of playing against an arguably top-10 offense, they face Tommy DeVito and the Giants. After putting up 22 points last week, the Cowboys defense may have another game-changing week, not only in the NFL, but possibly for your fantasy team. Despite being mediocre the entire season, I do think that they will turn things around for the 2nd half of the season and I think that they will prove that in tomorrow’s game in Dallas. Now it is also important to mention that the Cowboys have gotten some of their defensive stars back from injury, including Eric Kendricks and Daron Bland who both had a good game last week against the Commanders, and I think they will do it again this week.
Malik Nabers is a must-sit this week. As the only shining star in a collapsing offense, don’t expect Malik to go off this week, especially considering how the Cowboys defense played last week and the fact that his QB will be Tommy DeVito. Last week, Nabers had 6 receptions for 67 yards in Tommy DeVito’s first game as a starter, and I don’t think he will play any better than last week. The Giants play at AT&T Stadium for their Thanksgiving Game this year and not only do I think it will be a blowout win by the Cowboys, but I think that Malik Nabers should not be on your fantasy roster before tomorrow’s game.
